Cassidy Nolen
2000 C5 Corvette FRC
This FRC started life as a parade car, being driving by the then-president of the Northern Virginia Corvette Club. As time went on and the C6 became his new attention, Cassidy bought this car and began the transformation to a road-racers dream. Performance harmonic balancer, brake spindles ducted to the interior of the rotors, ram air intake, DeWitt giant radiator, Pfadt 5 point roll bar, Sparco FIA seats, gutted and lightened. This Z-51 car sports true 3-inch exhaust from 1 ¾ primary tuned headers with Borla exhaust and sits extremely competitive with a set of Nitto NT-01 slicks front and back on Z06 stock rims. Driveline consists of beefed up torque tube bushings, carbon blockers, bronze shift fork guides and a freshly built 3.42 rear differential sitting atop a Pfadt trans brace. Custom clutch bleeding assembly makes the job a snap. This car, with a stock normally-aspirated 345hp motor turns consistent 1:25 laps on Summit Point Main (SPR) and is driven on more than half a dozen tracks each season in 3 states.
